These colourful kantha stitch throws are totally beautiful. Each one has been carefully hand stitched using back to back recycled saris. The kantha work is of a very high standard - these are genuinely old vintage pieces, rather than 'new made to look old'. With the increased popularity of kantha over recent years, these genuine vintage pieces of such a high standard are becoming increasingly rare. We love pretty much anything embroidered with kantha stitch. Maybe it's from years in India - but there's something so enriching about hand kantha, or gudri stitch as it is sometimes called. In this case, the hand work is totally amazing. It is of a very high standard and vintage throws like these are becoming more and more rare to find. They have been sourced from a member of the British Association for Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers (BAFTS - see our ethical buying policy for more details) and so although they're genuinely old pieces, a fair price has been paid for each piece. If you love vintage fabrics too, then you will just love these throws.
